Frog Street Curriculum
Peach State Academy prides itself in helping children become enthusiastic and lifelong learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. Our goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners. We are teaching them how to learn, not just in preschool, but all through their lives. We are allowing them to learn at their own pace and in the ways that are best for them. We are giving them good habits and attitudes, particularly a positive sense of themselves, which will make a difference throughout their lives.
The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environment, the selection of toys and materials, the daily classroom schedule, and the interactions and dialogue with children, are all designed to accomplish the goals of our curriculum and give each child a successful start in school.
Research Based Curriculum
Frog Street provides a comprehensive continuum of research-based curriculum serving children from birth to age five. It supports key learning domains and is aligned to state and national learning standards. Frog Street incorporates social-emotional development into the curriculum each day.
Infants
Frog Street for Infants builds a strong foundation and is designed around early brain research. It fosters essential growth and builds a strong learning foundation for our youngest ages 0-18 months.
Toddlers and Twos
Frog Street for Toddlers and Twos builds a nurturing curiosity through exploration all throughout the day. It is designed around the latest scientific early brain development research for children ages 18-36 months.
Preschool
Frog Street for Preschool expands and promotes the transitioning from parallel play to interactive play and builds on their language capacity. It promotes the genuine affection and concern for children and their peers. and meets the unique needs of preschoolers while providing intentional instruction in key areas of development for children ages 36-48 months.
Pre-K
Frog Street for Pre-K promotes a continual learning path with a comprehensive, dual-language program designed to meet the needs of diverse learners, while supporting ten learning domains. Frog Street is an engaging, interactive program that celebrates the joy of learning as children prepare for success. Frog Street for Pre-K aligns with the Georgia Early Learning Standards.
